There exists no room for discontent if there remains nothing to hope for. Nothing to strive for, nothing to peg your faith on to, nothing to plan your days and wrap your dreams around. One might as well live deliberately, if there is left nothing to win or lose.
But then, maybe discontent isn't a bad thing after all.

Hope is what drives our life forward. However bad the situation may be, one does not cease to hope, even if there is no chance for it to be fulfilled. And if they do, the discontent would still be there, with no hope for it to be fulfilled.
That would be a terrible state. I think that is the state I would relate with a 'suicide moment'
I Really liked this. And it actually made me d a double take on how I'd been feeling about certain things. Discontent may be inevitable, but it keeps things fluid and in motion.
I guess neither discontent nor wretched apathy can carry on forever. Life is SO much about flux.

I'm left to question exactly how much of human thought and belief is purely perfunctory? I'm still trying to draw the margin there.
